The BHIS PTA is committed to ensuring all our students, especially those furthest away from education justice are able to access quality school supplies, engaging and culturally relevant enrichment activities, and a reduction in barriers to high educational attainment.

Write a check, payable to Beacon Hill PTA and mail to: 2025 14th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144.

You could also send it to school with your student or leave in the PTA drop-box in the school’s main office.

Alternative Giving Options

Hilltop Red Apple Receipts

Submit your grocery receipts from our local Red Apple and we will receive 1% of their total value from the store.

Place your receipts in the Red Apple jar on the desk across from the front office. We can raise nearly $500 annually from this effort!

Corporate Matching

Ask your employer about matching your donation to Beacon Hill PTA 6.15.42. The following employers offer corporate matching: Boeing, Delta, Gates Foundation, Meta, Microsoft, and many more.

Box Tops for Education

No more cutting out needed! The “Box Tops for Education” program has gone digital. Look for the symbol from cereal, crackers, Ziploc and other products.

Our Annual Fundraisers

School Supplies Drive

Every year the Beacon Hill PTA supports our school by raising the funds needed to purchase back-to-school supply items (markers, pens, paper, tissues, hand sanitizer etc) in bulk. These items are not covered by our district funds or the school budget. Purchasing in bulk supports teachers in having the supplies they need, allows school supplies to be purchased at a better rate, and ensures equitable access to school supplies.
Our goal is to raise $20,000, which translates to about $55 per student for the whole year across our 375 students. 53% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. In the past, families were asked to purchase supplies individually, but many students were left without adequate supplies. If you are in a position to do so, please donate an amount that is meaningful to you – your generosity is appreciated.

Read-A-Thon

The Read-A-Thon is a fun day at school for students, emphasizing the joy and diversity of READING. This is an opportunity for students to connect with parents, caregivers, community members, teachers, and each other over the joys of reading.

Move-a-Thon

BHIS is a part of SESSFA, an alliance of 17 public elementary, K-8, and middle schools in SE Seattle serving more than 6,700 students collectively. This annual joint effort to raise $500k, which is distributed equitably amongst our schools culiminates in a fun day of movement.
