The Beacon Hill International School Parent Teacher Association is an important partner of BHIS. We are a non-profit association dedicated to promoting the educational excellence, health, and welfare of all students and their families through advocacy, community-building, fundraising, and enrichment programs.
The BHIS PTA is open to all parents, community members, teachers, and staff committed to advocacy, community-building, and enrichment.
How Leadership Works
The Beacon Hill International School PTA is comprised of a dedicated group of volunteers. The Board of Directors is made up of an Executive Committee and all Committee Chairs, as designated by the board.
Exectuive Committee members are the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. They are elected by a simple majority at a general membership meeting. Committee Chairs are appointed by the President and approved by the Executive Committee at a monthly Board Meeting. Any position may be co-led. Positions are filled for a term of one year and commence on July 1st. Individuals may be appointed to a maximum of one additional term.
